Mindy A. Schwartz, MD

Mindy Schwartz is a national leader in teaching the history of medicine. Her work in this area includes the development of a case-based History of Medicine curriculum for medical students and faculty, unique in its emphasis on incorporating medical history into clinical practice. Dr. Schwartz has also been a leader in teaching clinical nutrition at Pritzker. She has been a co-leader of the Pritzker School of Medicine’s Coggeshall Advising Society and has served as the chapter advisor for the Gold Humanism Honor Society since 2005. Dr. Schwartz has been honored by election to the Prizker senior class portrait for many years, and has also been honored repeatedly as one of the favorite teachers in the Medicine residency program. She received the Department of Medicine’s outstanding clinical teacher award in 2008. She was elected to the Academy as a Fellow in 2007.
