Geographical Medicine Scholars
Six medical students and two residents recently took part in the 2006 –2007 GMSP In-Country Practicum. The In-Country Practicum took place in South India in collaboration with MediCiti Immunology and Infectious Disease Research Institute. Students rotated through the hospital’s emergency room and ICU as well as through a Fever Hospital, Leper Colony, and two Chest hospitals. GMSP scholars also participated in a rural community medicine program, and perinatal care program.
