Why did you choose to attend Pritzker?
I chose Pritzker because it was the best fit for me. I wanted to attend a school that was diverse in multiple ways and had a strong support for nontraditional students and URMs. I also wanted to attend a school that was full of service opportunities and truly part of the school's commitment. I also felt like the students were super friendly on my interview day and they took pride in their school. Lastly, I was excited about the opportunity to pick out my own research mentor and project.
Who has been an important mentor of yours during your time at Pritzker?
Dr. Keme Carter has been one of the most influential mentors that I've gained at Pritzker. She has not only been an awesome teacher during her EM elective. She has been there for me personally and has given me great advice professionally. Dr. Carter is someone I hope to model in my future career in medicine and in life. I didn't know if I was going to find that at medical school, but I feel fortunate Pritzker provided that.
How would you describe your classmates?
My classmates are the best part about Pritzker. We are a strong family, a unit, a force to be reckoned with. We are so different but yet perfectly fit together to make a masterpiece.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to run, try new recipes, hang with friends, and go to any type of live music venue. Chicago is great for all of those things!
