Clinic Workflow

  1. First, the patient is seen by the medical students, who perform an HPI and physical exam.
  2. After the medical students have completed their initial interview and assessment, they will present to the attending physician (you).
    • Simultaneously, during the medical students’ presentation, student volunteers from the Crown School of Social Work will perform a Behavioral Health & Social Needs Assessment with the patient (only if the patient indicated interest in doing so).
  3. After a group discussion, both you and the medical students will discuss your collective assessment with the patient.
  4. Lastly, the medical students will direct the patient to our checkout desk to finalize next steps and receive a referral, if needed.
